KTorrent Preferences
The easiest way to change settings in KTorrent is through the KTorrent Preferences dialog.
With a bare minimum setup, there will be four tabs down the left side that allows access to the following pages:
- Downloads
- General
- Advanced
- Plug-ins
NOTE: installed plug-ins often add an access tab for their respective variables so the above list is just what you are guaranteed to view upon accessing Ktorrent Preferences
Contents |
Opening the dialog
In the "Settings" drop-down menu, select "Configure KTorrent"
Some possible tabs
The following is an incomplete list of available tabs. (It is incomplete because additional plug-ins may create other tabs).
NOTE: This is not a good source list for plug-ins since many plug-ins do not use tabs in the Preferences. But all Plug-ins that DO add a tab in Preferences should be listed or added if absent.

Plug-ins

To be available for this list, the plug-in needs to be installed in the proper folder so KTorrent can find it upon start-up
Common plugins
The place to manually install a plug-in can change locations from version to version and of course the various clients all have different locations but the location almost always ends with a folder named "Plug-ins" so if you cannot find instructions for manual installation then a little snooping around will likely find such a folder somewhere with the word "KTorrent" also somewhere in its location
