Download Order
The Download Order plugin enables you to specify the download order of a multifile torrent. After enabling the plugin, you can right click on the torrent and choose File Download Order from the menu.
InfoWidget
The InfoWidget plugin adds several tabs to the bottom of KTorrent's main window, next to the Queue Manager tab.
The Status tab provides a graphical representation of the available and downloaded chunks, an option to set a share ratio limit and time limit for seeding a torrent, and average speed, peer, and tracker status information for the selected torrent.
The Files Tab provides a list or tree of the files in the selected torrent and their status along with the ability to change their priority, preview them, delete them, and select or deselect them for downloading.
The other tabs can be selected or deselected with the Configuration window's Infowidget page, as can the colors displayed for different file priorities.
The Peers tab list numerous statistics about each peer you are connected to for the selected torrent.
The Chunks tab lists the number of chunks, number downloading, number downloaded, number excluded, number left, and the chunk size for the selected torrent, along with the chunk number, progress, connected peers, speed, and files in the chunk for the currently downloading chunks of the selected torrent.
The Trackers tab lists various information about the torrent and the available trackers, and allows you to add and remove trackers from public torrents.
The Webseeds tab displays various information about the web seeds of the selected torrent, and allows you to add and remove web seeds from the selected torrent.
IPFilter
"IP filtering is simply a mechanism that decides which types of IP datagrams will be processed normally and which will be discarded. By discarded we mean that the datagram is deleted and completely ignored, as if it had never been received" quoted from "The Linux Network Administrators Guide - Chapter 9 - Section 3 - What is IP Filtering"
The IP filter plugin allows you to make full use of IP blocklists (like the one's from other popular windows IP filering programs) to block bad peers, spyware, even bad p0rn sites. This IP filter is mainly just for weeding out the fake peers (as I call them, Spy or Lamer), government internet monitoring networks, and others as well.
Once the plugin is enabled, you can choose to download already made block lists from sites like B.I.S.S. or blocklistpro.com (note: blocklist.org is a dead project and I hope that the developers will delete the reference to it in the plugin - Hint hint!) and creates a master block list file. You may choose to browse your file system and choose an already made blocklist.
There are many great tutorials out there that one can use to learn how to make your own blocklists as well and remember, google is your friend ;)
If you would like more blocklists, check out Blocklistpro.com's blocklist mirror.
Syndication
The Syndication feature of KTorrent enables users to download torrent files from RSS feed provided by trackers, torrent community sites, etc. By specifying filters you can automatically start downloading specific torrent files published on the feeds you have subscribed to.
